TASC DMR 2 is open to any student that has successfully completed the TASC DMR 1 course OR has instructor permission (contact This email address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it.). It is what we call a B-Track class (not part of the main curriculum) that we offer each 4th of July holiday weekend to those interested. If you do not participate, it will NOT impede your progress through the main curriculum.
TASC DMR 2 is the second in a three course series that focuses on using a scoped semi-automatic rifle out to ranges of 600 yards. Focus is on using a mil-reticle to measure distance and size of objects, rapid re-engagement of targets, unusual shooting positions, reading wind, providing overawatch.
Required equipment is a semi-automatic magazine fed rifle, a magnified optic with a Mil based reticle that maxes out at about 12-14 power (bottom end 1-3). 1-10x and 3-15 are very popular. 200 rounds of match-grade ammunition (75 or 77 grain for 223, 168 or 175 grain for 308, equivalent for other calibers). Two magazines, 10-20 rounds are best.

Bug Spray highly suggested. You will be on the ground much of the day and there are tics everywhere. We STRONGLY reccomend you purchase this spray and treat your clothes only (do not spray it on your skin) at least 24 hours before you come out.
