TAC-TECHS: Radio Antennas, Going the Distance

Antennas: Radio frequencies (RF) and antennas go hand-in-hand. This session will focus on radio frequencies, spectrum, propogation, and selecting and optimizing your antenna to achive optimal radio communications. 

Topics covered in this sessions will include:

• How radio fits into a PACE plan
• Frequencies and spectrum
• Antenna design and types of antennas
• Height and propogation
• Field exercise

Field Exercise will include:

• Demonstration of various types of antennas
• Field deployment of antennas
• Line of Sight and Height demo
• HF Antenna show and tell

Following this session, participants will have a better understanding radio frequencies, propogation, antenna selection, and deployment. All critical knowledge for utilizing a radio.
