TASC B-Track USING MGRS Maps

This TASC extension class is available to everyone who has successfully completed the TASC INTRO course.  

This class will discuss how to read an MGRS/UTM map including its features, markings, calculating distances, declination, using a compass and protractor, generating a pace count, and using terrain features to locate yourself on the map.

The required equipment list for the class is:

-A Compass (baseplate or lensatic) and protractor. Buy a good one, and you won't be sorry.
-Pencil (mechanical if you have one)
-Fine tip dry or wet erase marker
-Good boots - gym shoes may get messed up
-Notebook (write in the rain preferred)
