7:00 am	Practical Rifle ASC Practical Rifle is an action rifle match intended for skills development and casual competition, with a relaxed atmosphere and a lot of fun! This is an opportunity to get your rifle "off the bench" and challenge your marksmanship skills while developing new skills most shooters can't practice on a range. Participants will face new scenarios each month, with two short-range engagement stages, and one medium range engagement stage at either 100 or 200 yards. Shooters will be "scored" based on stage time plus penalties. Shooters should bring a semi-automatic rifle and plan on firing up to 150 rounds. Up to 4 magazines may be utilized on a single stage, and your favorite mag retention system is encouraged. We do not impose limitations on firearms or ammunition; all calibers and legal equipment is welcome. Optics are shooters choice, iron sights, red-dots, and magnified optics are all welcome. Practical Rifle is a great opportunity to gain experience with all your gear! Whether pre-registered or on-site registered, you must be present for CHECK-IN* AT LEAST 15 minutes before the published start time. Shooters not present for check-in will forfeit their spot. Check-In occurs at the Registration desk on the East Side Bays. AT 15 MINUTES BEFORE THE PUBLISHED START TIME, we will start promptly with a Roll Call followed by a Safety Brief. Immediately following the Safety Brief, squads will walk to their start stage. All shooters must have event gear ready and in their possession before the Safety Brief begins. * 'CHECK-IN' means you are confirmed present with the registration table. If you are late, we will assign your spot to someone who arrived on time and you will be added to the bottom of the 'Space-Available Signup Sheet'. Everyone must be at the safety brief in order to participate. Let's face the reality that most concealed carry classes are basic in nature and don't really prepare the shooter for real-life and death situations. Critical Pistol skills will make you unconsciously competent with the use of your firearm. It'll become second nature, like driving a car. In Critical Pistol Skills you'll learn: - Drawing and Firing from the Holster. - Multiple Targets. - Rapid Firing. - Multiple Reloading Techniques. - Dealing with Malfunctions. - Point Shooting, AKA Threat Focus Shooting. - Stress Inoculation, shooting under stress. - And More. 8:30 am	Sporting Clays Event Come join us at our Sporting Clays event- 8:30 am-2:00 pm. ASC has a 15 station Sporting Clays corse that offers challenges for both beginners and advanced shooters. We will have prizes for top shooters at each menu level, B-beginners, I-intermediate and A-advanced, so every skill level shooter has a chance to win. If you are coming by yourself, no worries, we will place you in a group or provide someone to pull for you. Any type of shotgun can be used for this event, pump, semi auto, over under, side by side, as well as, all gauges. If you have never shot Sporting Clays, we will assign you a volunteer to help demonstrate the game and walk you through the first several stations. This event is open to the public, bring as many guests as you wish so they can shoot at member rates.
