April 6 May 4 June 1 July 6 August 3 September 7 October 5 November 2 Participants drive to the east-side ranges on the rifle pistol range at 7641 Rueff Road, Waterman, IL 60556.
Gates open at 8:00 a.m. Contestants gather for a briefing at 8:45 and shooting starts at 9:00.
Contestants use firearms typical of those from the taming of the Old West: single action revolvers, pistol caliber lever action rifles, and old-time shotguns. There are 5-6 stages set up in unique "Old West" style. Stage scenarios feature an array of situations, many based on famous incidents or movie scenes, in which shooters test their skills against steel targets.
Beginners, experts, members, non-members, spectators and curious people are all welcome. Hearing protection and eye protection with side shields are required for participants and spectators.
Everyone tries their best to dress the part and respect the traditions of the Old West. Some folks would call it good sportsmanship. We call it "The Spirit of the Game."
Matches are held according to Single Action Shooting Society rules.
Walk-ins are welcome. Fees: $15 per adult shooter, $10 for "Young Guns" ages 14 thru 16. "Buckaroos" under age 13 shoot free (Buckaroos must have .22 caliber pistols and rifles, 410 gauge shotguns.) There is no fee for spectators. All fee's can be paid on date of matches.

2 Gun (Ranges E6-E10)2-GUN is a competitive shooting sport that tests participants' proficiency with two types of firearms: a rifle and a pistol.
Participants engage in a series of dynamic shooting scenarios, where they can test and improve their proficiency, speed, and accuracy. What to expect:

Friday Night ShootCome join us for a game of Trap, Skeet, 5-stand, Pyramid Wobble or Springing Teal under the lights. Event starts at 5 pm and has a dead stop at 10pm. Members and guest are welcome. Fee option’s- If you're new to these games, let us know at registration and we will pair you with a club volunteer that will show you how to play the games. Participants must bring: Credit/debit card for games, cash for tips, side games and food donation ($5), shotgun, at least 125 target load lead or steel shells (no hunting or defense loads) and eye and ear protection.

The Zombie Shoot 2025The Aurora Sportsmen’s Club Zombie Shoot will be held on Saturday September 13, 2025 from 8:00 a.m. through 4:00 p.m. at the Aurora Sportsmen's Club Rifle/Pistol/Shotgun complex located at 7749 Rueff Road, Waterman, IL. The event will feature 16 stages for pistol, rifle, and shotgun and will have something to do for all levels of shooting, from beginner to advanced. How to Play the Games: 5-Stand/Trap/SkeetASC is offering members and guest a chance to learn how to play Skeet, Trap, Pyramid Wobble and 5-stand starting at 9 am. This is a great opportunity to learn the games with other beginners or novice shooters to the games. We will teach you the rules, basic strategies, use of the target releases (manual or wireless), and teach you how to arm/disarm machines and other safety tips, so you can get your key to the skeet/trap houses (members only). This is a very casual class and the instruction and key is free. Each shooter will pay $20 to cover the cost of the clays. So plan on shooting three-four games.
