$8 ($4/$5 Junior depending on the game) per game for 25 clays (cash only at this time). Double Trap is 50 clays. Come to the skeet/trap/5-stand field with:

  • Any gauge shotgun
  • Safety glasses
  • Hearing protection and boxes of target load lead or steel ammunition in shot sizes 7 1/2, 8 or 9.

Shooters may share a shotgun on this course. Please locate one of our Pullers (in Orange) upon arrival. The field is on Rueff Rd, Waterman, Illinois and has a sign that says skeet/trap/archery.

CMP Service Rifle Clinic - September 25th, 2022

Interested in learning about National Match competition with U.S. military issue rifles?
Don't have a U.S. military issue rifle, use ours!

ASC, in conjunction with the Civilian Marksmanship Program (CMP), will conduct National Match Course Clinics.

ASC will furnish:

  • Service Grade M1 Garands or Match Grade AR-15 rifles (your choice)
  • M1 Carbines are available for Juniors
  • 45 Rounds of Ammunition
  • 1.5 hours of Classroom Instruction
  • 1.5 hours of Range Time

Class Information

Reservations should be made for a particular rifle type and a specific date.

The entire clinic - classroom and range time - lasts approximately 3 hours. We shoot rain or shine.

Ear and eye protection is mandatory and can be supplied.

Proper shooting clothing, such as a long-sleeve shirt, long pants, and elbow pads are strongly recommended.

Participation in a CMP Clinic fulfills one of the requirements to purchase a surplus M1 Garand Rifle from the Civilian Marksmanship Program.

Shotgun Basics Clinic

This class is open to members and non-members. Preregistration required; no walk-ins.

Covers shotgun information and use, safety, clay target shooting and common games. Classroom time is followed by on-field instruction. Learn how to mount and swing a shotgun and how to set up for a successful break with Certified Wingshooting Instructors. Some shotgun experience helpful but not required. Participants under 18 years old must be mature enough to follow safety rules and strong enough to safely hold and swing a 7-8 pound shotgun. Minors must be accompanied by a parent or grandparent.

ASC Members: Classes are free. Practice rounds are five dollars ($5) for every 25 targets.

Nonmembers: There is a thirty-dollar ($30) fee that includes instruction and practice targets.

Public welcome. Four or two games, plus all you can eat and drink. Game tickets are good for any game except Sporting Clays. Extra games can be shot using your discount card or purchasing more game cards. There will be elimination games at trap 1 starting at 8 pm-Killer, killer pieces, blue bird etc.

You must have attended the September 3rd, 2022 event as a pre-requisite for this session.  It is Part 2 of 2 class.
 
The focus of TASC (2-Gun Tactical) is the introduction, development, and practice of rifle and pistol skills that would be applicable in self-defense situations. TASC is a skills development activity, not a competition.
 
You must be present for the safety brief at 08:45 to be eligible to participate. There are no exceptions to this.

For beginners and as a refresher. Will teach you the rules and basice strategy for the game of Skeet, Trap and 5-stand. We will also do a skeet/trap safety check which will get you a key (members only) for asscess 365 days a year $5 per round of 25 clays ($15 Total). You must bring own gun and ammo (at least 3 boxes of shells) of 7 1/2 -9oz loads. Eyes and ears.
