TAC-TECHS Introduction (Inaugural Meeting)

Join the inaugural meeting of the Aurora Sportsmen's Club Tactical Technology  — Aurora Sportsmen’s Club’s newest discipline, built for members who live at the intersection of readiness, innovation, and technology. Whether you’re simply a curious club member wanting to learn mre about the smartphone in your pocket, or a licensed HAM radio operator, a drone pilot, an IT networking professional, or a prepared citizen looking to level up your technical edge, Tac-Techs is where it all comes together.

This meeting will be held virtually, from the comfort of your home, using Microsoft Teams. 

During this meeting, we will cover:

• Introducing themselves and their backgrounds
• Setting expectations for the meeting and the discipline as a whole
• Talking about how technology plays a crucial role is preparedness

Audience Interaction:

• During the meeting there will be multiple polls presented that gather feedback on the audiences areas of interest to help shape the discipline moving forward

Virtual Activity:

• Participants will identify how communications (and a communication outage) would impact their ability to reunite with their loved ones
• ⁠Participants will engage in the start of a PACE plan

Follow Up:

• A PACE Plan template will be provided to participants to be able to discuss and begin the process of assembling a PACE plan for their families and loved ones
• October's training will include hands-on, in-person exercises on radio frequencies and antennas, range, and selecting an antenna to suit your needs.
