TASC B-Track - Map Reading and Land Nav Prep
The TASC B-Track is for program veterans who have completed a FULL season of TASC and are looking for skills to augment what they have already learned.
In June, we will be focusing on preparing for the full Land Nav course in August by learning how to read and interpret MGRS Maps, use protractors, use a compass, and get our pace count down.
The required equipment list for the class is:
-A Compass and protractor (baseplate or lensatic). Buy a good one, and you won't be sorry.
-Pencil (mechanical if you have one)
-Fine tip dry or wet erase marker
-Good boots - gym shoes may get messed up
-Notebook (write in the rain preferred)
