ASC IDPA 
 
This will be a regular IDPA monthly Match. 6 stages with a round count of less than 100. We will have a classifier in the beginning of the season as well as another towards the end of the season.
 
Self defense and standard exercises are the basis for all IDPA matches, but the layout, course of fire and exercise details can differ greatly from match to match.
 
Pistol Caliber Carbine will be allowed. Equipment Rules for PCC are as follows... Mags limited to 30 rounds. Must have 3 mags.

The NON-ASC/IDPA member fee is $25.
ASC or IDPA member fee is $15.
LEO/Active Military Fee is $15.
Competitors 17 and under shoot free.

If you are not already a member of the page, request to JOIN it. Once your membership is verified, you will be added to the group and you should see the discounted rate. This is the ONLY way you will see the discount.

CMP Service Rifle Clinic - June 25th, 2023

Interested in learning about National Match competition with U.S. military issue rifles?
Don't have a U.S. military issue rifle, use ours!

ASC, in conjunction with the Civilian Marksmanship Program (CMP), will conduct National Match Course Clinics.

ASC will furnish:

  • Service Grade M1 Garands or Match Grade AR-15 rifles (your choice)
  • M1 Carbines are available for Juniors
  • 45 Rounds of Ammunition
  • 1.5 hours of Classroom Instruction
  • 2.0hours of Range Time

Class Information

Reservations should be made for a particular rifle type and a specific date.

Location: ASC West Side Range Building. You will be met at the entry gate for the Rifle/Pistol ranges. Travel South on Waterman Rd to Reuff Rd. Than West 1 mile to the Second gate on the North side.

The entire clinic - classroom and range time - lasts approximately 3 hours. We shoot rain or shine.

Ear and eye protection is mandatory and can be supplied.

Proper shooting clothing, such as a long-sleeve shirt, long pants, and elbow pads are strongly recommended.

Participation in a CMP Clinic fulfills one of the requirements to purchase a surplus M1 Garand Rifle from the Civilian Marksmanship Program.

TASC - DMR1

This class is only open to those who have successfully completed the TASC mandatory intro at least one time. 
 
DMR1 will focus on establishing a good zero, judging the distance of targets, and applying ballistic principles to get students to make hits out to 600 yards using both holdovers and dialing.  
 
Required equipment:
  1. Semi-automatic rifle with Mil reticle.
  2. Known ballistics of the bullets you are using from your gun (velocity, G1 BC)
  3. At least 2 magazines
  4. Bipod
  5. Eye and Ear protection
  6. Notepad and pen/pencil
  7. Water/snacks 

Optional equipment:

  1. Spotting Scope
  2. Shooting Mat
  3. Rear Support Bag or shooting sock
  4. Brass collection bag
  5. Chair for breaks
  6. Sunscreen 
  7. Bug Spray
 
 
 
The focus of TASC (2-Gun Tactical) is the introduction, development, and practice of rifle and pistol skills that would be applicable in self-defense situations. TASC is a skills development activity, not a competition.
 
You must be present for the safety brief at 08:45 to be eligible to participate. There are no exceptions to this.

This class is only open to those who have successfully completed the TASC DMR1 Class in July of 2022.  We will be sharing the 600 yard range with DRM1 today
 
DMR2 will focus on:
  1. Working with a Spotter (if you have a spotting scope, bring it.  Mil reticle preferred)
