ASC Open to All Members Action Shooting Sports Night Shoot
Date: Saturday April 27th
Time: 5-9 PM
Safety Brief Location: East Side Building Lounge
Brought to you by ASC Action Shooting Sports.
Details and Requirements:
- $0 Fee. Open to Members and their guests over the age of 18.
- This will not be a youth friendly event due to the complexity of low/no light. If you have questions please call Kris Kline at 815-440-4452.
- Night Shoot will be run by the ASC Action Shooting Sports teams of Practical Rifle, 2 Gun, and TASC volunteering their time to make this event possible.
- Limited to 60 Registrations to ensure safety. DO NOT SIGN UP AND NO SHOW. We fully expect this to fill up, so please be respectful and commit if you register.
- All attendees must be at the safety brief at 5 pm. NO EXCEPTIONS TO THE SAFETY BRIEF. If you miss the safety Brief you will not shoot the night event and will be spectating.
- Pistols Allowed: All non-magnum pistols using either Handheld and/or Weapon Mounted lights are allowed.
- If you have a Weapon Mounted Light you SHOULD also have a handheld light. Do not show up with only a Weapon Mounted Light. A Handheld light is a requirement.
- Rifles Allowed: AR and AK style rifles. Weapon Mounted Lights are Required for all Rifles. Rifle Caliber limited to 5.56/223, 300 Blackout, and 7.62X39.
- No 308, 30-06, or larger calibers (We will be shooting steel as close as 50 yards with rifles).
- Attendees can use only pistol, or a combination of their pistol and rifle.
- Night Vision Goggles, Thermal Scopes, and Night Vision Scopes are naturally allowed.
- This will be a cold range. Your firearms will remain unloaded and clear at all times unless instructed by an RO at the stage you are working with. If you are moving from stage to stage you will unload and show clear with an RO BEFORE you move to another area, and you will not reload unless an RO instructs you.
Range Bay Assignments:
- TASC Team will be on Bay E6 helping with handheld and weapon mounted lights.
- 2 Gun Team will be on Bay E7 running a traditional competition stage.
- Practical Rifle Team will be on Bay E8 running a traditional competition stage.
- Open Barricade Shooting and ATN Optics will be on Bay E9 with Thermal and Night Vision Optics for members to test.
Format:
- We will begin with a Safety Brief, and then move into groups where we practice using our handheld and WML’s in full light conditions. As lighting fades we will pivot to an open format where attendees can move to the range bay that they are most interested in spending time on, and similar to Zombie Shoot sign up onto the list to either run the stage, or participate in the drills taking place at that bay.
- All attendees must be at the safety brief at 5 pm. NO EXCEPTIONS TO THE SAFETY BRIEF. If you miss the safety Brief you will not shoot the night event and will be spectating.
- THIS WILL BE A COLD RANGE UNLESS INSTRUCTED BY AN RO. DO NOT MOVE BETWEEN BAYS WITH LOADED FIREARMS.
